It is a Grotesk sans-serif typeface. This font was created by Ray Larabie in 2000 and published by Typodermic Fonts (or Larabie Fonts). It was designed to look similar to the logo of the Grand Theft Auto game series. It has been used on all the titles since Grand Theft Auto III.
