The first installment in the Star Wars franchise, A New Hope was released in 1977. For the first poster of this film when it was in pre-production use just the “Star Wars” name for the movie. We Found a font the has similar vibe to the font is Futura ND Display. See the image below.

Later, there is another poster design used for the marketing material of the film. The word “Star Wars” is similar to the A2 Beckett font. This is a bold type font. See the image below.

Bahnschrift Font is a modern sans serif typefce font created in DIN 1451 standardization design letterforms. DIN 1451 was used in road traffic signals in Germany and Czech Republic  which was designed back in 1931. The Bahnschrift font basically is a modern digitization of DIN font. 

The Bahnschrift was designed by Aaron Bell, an American typographer. Bell is the owner of Saja Typeworks font foundry based in Washington, USA. Beside Bahnschrift, he also designed some other famous fonts, such as; HWT Aetna, Industrial Spill, Salish, Super Chill MC, Tipsy Waitress, etc. 

The Bahnschrift is supported by almost 200 Latin languages and that is one of the biggest advantages of it. The font has been released in three upgraded  versions so far.
