About The Font

Gotham Font is a sans serif typeface font which was inspired by the examples of architectural symbols of the mid-twentieth century. The Gotham has an extra height and wide aperture with comparatively broad aperture. Gotham font became more popular after using in the presidential campaign of Barack Obama in 2008.

Gotham was designed by a famous American typeface designer Tobias Frere-Jones and assisted by Jesse Ragan. The font was published under the Hoefler font foundry in 2000. Jones is vastly experienced and one of the best designers of his time. Gotham font makes him more popular worldwide. Beside Gotham font, he has designed some other famous and beautiful font, such as; Armada, Dolores, Hightower Text, Nobel, Garage Gothic, Cassandra, Pythagoras, Proxy, Zoetrope, Horizon, Archipelago, Vitriol, Cafeteria, Epitaph, Nixie, Reiner Script, etc.

Gotham is a geometric font which has a large family of eight weights and four different widths. The font has different styles for a rounded version and screen display.So far Gotham font modified for the four times, those was in 2007, 2009, 2011. 2012. Gotham has 222 characters and supports so many languages. OTF, TTF and WOFF format are supported in Gotham font.
