About The Font

Helvetica font is a historical sans serif typeface font. Helvetica is a neo-grotesque design, which was  inspired by the famous 19th century (1890s) typeface Akzidenz-Grotesk. The Helvetica was designed  back in 1957. At the beginning it was known as the Neue Haas Grotesk typeface but in 1960 the font was renamed to Helvetica font. In this so many years after the release the Helvetica have achieved a huge reputation all over the world. 

A famous Swiss typeface designer Max Miedinger designed the Helvetica font. Mr Miedinger started his career as typeface designer from a very early age. In his long colorful career he designed many groundbreaking fonts which gradually became very popular all over the world. Among his fonts, some noteworthy ones are; Pro Arte, Horizontal, Helvetica Monospaced, Helvetica Inserat, etc.

The Helvetica font has six different styles, such as; Helvetica Light, Helvetica Inserat, Helvetica Compressed, Helvetica Rounded, Helvetica Narrow, Helvetica Textbook. This font usually can be found in three different weights, those are Regular, Medium and Bold. Support in many variations of languages. Beside Latin languages, the font has Arabic variants. This font has been developed in many languages by several designers. In 2019 Helvetica announced a new variant, which is Neo-Helvetica mostly known as Helvetica Now.
